Regenerative Medicine Institute
Stem Cell Clinic Mexico
The Regenerative Medicine Institute consists of a group of ‘Board Certified’ physicians an other health professionals offering stem cell treatments for those with chronic diseases. Which certification board is not mentioned. The clinic uses autologous adult stem cells harvested from the patient themselves, thereby protecting the patient from a potential immune-system rejection of the cells. The stem cells are then cultured in order to multiply them in the lab, and are injected back into the patient at a site close to the target organ or tissue which is to be treated.

Conditions Treated
This clinic has neurosurgeons on its team and offers procedures for degenerative neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, amongst others. Immune system conditions such as fibromyalgia, lupus, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis can be addressed at the Regenerative Medicine Institute, as can diabetes, and joint problems. Cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions are treated, along with cancer, visual problems such as retinopathy and macular degeneration, and haematological conditions. The clinic also offers the slightly suspect anti-ageing treatments for ‘otherwise healthy adults’. The majority of these treatments remain untested and unregulated, with serious concerns over any neurosurgery, or use of stem cells in cancer treatment.
The Hard Facts
The clinic, again, offers financial packages to aid patients to cover their treatment costs, although the highly disorganized website representing the Regenerative Medicine Institute offers no information on this and concentrates on supplying anecdotes and patients’ pictures instead of hard facts. The clinic operates out of the Hospital Angeles in Tijuana, and currrently holds a Hospital Licence, a Transplant Licence, and a Stem Cell Bank Licence, but is not licenced for stem cell treatments as Mexico has not introduced such legislation as yet, making this an unregulated practice.
